Today we went to “Doughtys” the fabric shop in Hereford we had previously decided was the best place to get our fabric from. I called beforehand to make sure they had the 2.3m width poly-cotton, and after finding out they did I headed to Hereford, met my peers Bluebell and Dan at the train station and we set off to the store. When we got there, we headed upstairs as that is where we were told the fabric would be, however it wasn’t labelled so we went to find a staff member who could help us. We got the fabric cut to 4m even though we only needed 3.7 because we decided it was a good idea to have some extra in case we needed it. We then went down and paid for it, the total was £24 so split 3 ways was £8 each.

This week I started doing my main research piece, which I am doing on a theatre practitioner. I decided to do this on a practitioner called Micheal Chekhov, I have bought an e-book called 'Micheal Chekhov's Acting Technique' by Sinead Rushe which I have started reading. Additionally, I reached out to my old drama teacher Lynn Clausen to ask her if she had any resources about Chekhov, and got a reply today saying she would check for me, and asking me more about the show as she's interested in the concept. Despite doing all this research I have not completed writing my article this week, I have written only an intro and done lots of secondary research. We had planned on our timetable to have done all of our main research piece done this week, I think I have failed to do this because of lack of in-depth realistic planning of my week this week. Luckily, this part of my project is something that I could afford to run over with, I will continue to write my research paper over the course of the next week or two alongside my other tasks we have timetabled. However, to avoid this happening again I will be planning my weeks more realistically and in depth weekly, I also believe being back in college will help with the structure of my weeks as being half term what I had planned to do got changed and adapted frequently.
